There are mixed reviews of Bob Marley Hostel, however, our experience at this hostel was wonderful. This hostel has character! If you are looking for clean, ordinary, boring hostel, then you can skip this hostel. Otherwise, you will have a good time there.

"The Temple of Edfu is an ancient Egyptian temple located on the west bank of the Nile in the city of Edfu which was known in Greco-Roman times as Apollonopolis Magna, after the chief god Horus-Apollo.[1] It is the second largest temple in Egypt afterKarnak and one of the best preserved. The temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus, was built in the Ptolemaic period between 237 and 57 BCE. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language, myth and religion during the Greco-Roman period in ancient Egypt."
This temple was quite a distance away from Luxor, but it was worth the journey. At least, we managed to see the villages outside the touristy places, as well as, seeing one of the best preserved temples in Egypt.
We also managed to see the rampant corruption in Egypt. There were many checkpoints on the road to Edfu, and the driver had to bribe (around 5LE, US$1, S$1.20) the police to pass through. Corruption is a disease of a country, it makes a country weak and sick.
